Welcome to the Unscripted Symphony, the podcast where courage takes the lead and life's greatest opportunities happen between the notes. I'm Jill Fratianne, and with each week, we'll explore the stories, lessons, and bold decisions that remind us to do it scared, trust the process, and create a life that's uniquely your own. We are here today with Robbie Williams, who is a former tech founder who, with his partner Tracy, sold IDS Group in 2019 and turned a 17th-century Somerset farm into Everads into Everads Farm, an 18-acre private estate hosting weddings, founder retreats, and luxury stays, and who now mentors entrepreneurs while rebuilding himself physically and mentally all in public. Welcome, Robbie. We're so happy to have you.
Robbie WilliamsHey, doing Jill. I'm absolutely over the moon to be here. Super, super cool.
Jill FratianneOkay, so let's get into it. So, how did you find and want to purchase Everard's Farm? And am I saying that right, Everard's Farm?
Robbie WilliamsYeah, Everard's Farm. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Everard's Farm. Yeah, it's um yeah, it's been here since the 17th, since 1650, I think, which is uh super old. Uh yeah, Everard's Farm was the dream that um Tracy, my wife, and I had uh back in 2011. Um, we created a company to survive back then. We were um in a position where um I'd started a company with a guy um and he found out to be a crook and he robbed us of all our money. Um, and uh we walked away as PAYE employees um with nothing um but but a big lesson learned. And we started a company to survive, essentially. We had one little car between us, uh, a house with a mortgage, credit card debt, two kids, and uh it was like, right, we'll either give this a go ourselves, and if it doesn't work out, then you know I'll go back installing network cables, which is what I did as an engineer originally. And I met my wife Tracy in sales, selling structured cabling, fiber optics, and that's what we did. We borrowed 80 grand off friends, family, whoever would lend us anything to get it across the line. And uh, we paid everybody back in eight months. The the business took off. Uh, it was very, very stressful. But the reason Everard's a year and a half in um to that journey, we just needed a break. We were working eight days a week, you know, the house was taken over, cabling products, you know, we're taking all these risks and everything, and we just needed a break. So I managed to get the kids looked after, and um I booked a little stairway in a boutique hotel uh near Bath in the UK. Beautiful bath, um, amazing place. And we stopped in this country estate, um, which was at a Jacobean farmhouse, and these pig sheds that had been converted into these little holiday lets. And we were in a converted pig shed, and we're away there for the first time, switched off, not thinking about work and corporate world. And it was there that the scene was is like, wow, how cool is this? Like, how lovely would it be to have a beautiful place in the country and this little business on the side? Tracy, you like people, like you'd love this, you know. So uh, so that was where it was. So, iPhone notes went in there. That's what we're gonna try and make happen. And yeah, we built our company up, and 10 years to the day we strategically grew it uh with that plan, 10 years pretty much to the day that we created that company to survive, we exited, walked away, pot of cash, and then searched for the property that was gonna fuel this. And three months later, we found Everard's farm. Um, walked into 18 acres, walked into the farmhouse, thought this is lovely. And then as we walked around the estate, it just got better and better. And it was like, okay, this is what it's all about. But it had been um created from a from rubble by the previous owners. They've been here 20 years. Um, it was a farm, a working farm, up until the 1930s. Previous owners done an amazing job, but they'd done it in their way. So there was no stone showing anywhere. There was plasterboard or um sheeprock, I think you call it America, uh, everywhere of insulation. Um, and so yeah, it was just it was just it needed Robbie and Tracy's touch. So that's that's basically it. That's what we did. We agreed, and there we go, Everast Farm, and here we are now, uh 2026, six years later from that time.
Jill FratianneWow, I have I have so many questions because the property is so incredibly beautiful. Thank you, thank you. Tell me about so if I'm hearing you right, you guys were at a point where um, you know, you were bag borrowing and stealing. How did you get the funds to do the renovation? Was that from what you had borrowed or no, yeah.
Robbie WilliamsSo so so the everything we've bootstrapped everything. So from the sale and exit of our business, yeah, we got a nice big pot of cash.
Jill FratianneOkay, you did. Okay, yeah, right.
Robbie WilliamsYeah, yeah, yeah. So so we we literally I I I we worked strategically with a broker and everything, and um, and with a with a mentor, which I advise everybody to get in business. And um, and yeah, I I actually pulled myself away from the structure cabling business a year before we actually sold it because um I didn't want it to be a point where a buyer would come in and call it, you know, it's Robbie Williams Incorporated. You know, it's it's a business's own, it doesn't need me in it. I've not been in it for a year, so that was it. Tracy was in the finance part of the business at that point, so yeah. So that enabled us to exit fully. We we closed the deal, so we literally signed over, we walked away. We went in as an advisory role for a couple of years, but that didn't really come to anything. So, yeah, we ended up with a substantial amount of money. Um, and then we've just gone everything into everything. So we bought the farm outright, um, and then all the renovations we've done ourselves from that pot of cash, which has now dwindled down to a very small pot of cash. But I think everybody who comes here and sees it, they can see where that money's been spent, you know. So yeah.
Jill FratianneAnd it's so interesting because the two of you could have just taken that pot of cash and maybe called it a day.
Robbie Williams100%. We could have retired, but you know, what's retirement? You know, I sold my company at what was I 45. Um, Tracy's five years older than me, but she looks five years younger than me, which is good. Um, and yeah, we we could have done, you know, retirement, but this was our dream. This is the whole point of why we built our previous company from that stay at that boutique, that boutique hotel in that converted pig shed. This was our dream. This was why we built IDS to where it was, and that's why we exit, because that's we were never gonna stop. We this was our plan the whole time. So people think, you know, people sometimes look from the outside and think, oh, they got look at lucky, look, they bought this hotel and everything. No, we this was always the dream. This was always the thing. So for us, retirement, you know, retirement's gonna come later, you know. For for us, retirement will be in the next, you know, in into our 60s, maybe. That's our plan. Our plan will be at that point, we will do some trip. The kids are fully grown up, they're not reliant on us anymore. You know, we haven't got any pets left. We can literally go, right, we're going again, and that's what we're gonna do. We're gonna travel. We're gonna the next place we're gonna do is so we live currently on site at Everard's Farm, um, in a farmhouse. It's the only property that we haven't renovated on the whole estate. We've literally polished everything to an initialist life in Tracy and Robbie style. Um, and and the farmhouses as we moved in, which is lovely, but still not to our taste. And if you looked at everywhere else, you know, it's quite funny when we've got these five-star showers and you know, on the estate and you know, bathtubs on the verandahs and things like that, and and we're we're sort of showering in a 1980s shower every day, but that's just it. And the the plan will be, and in the next couple of years, as things are starting to take off, is we're gonna move off site, then convert the farmhouse, make the whole estate commercial, and we all rent somewhere. And the renting will enable us to have the flexibility then in the future that when we do get to that point, we just go see you later, we're off, we're going traveling. And we'll probably come and see you and say, We're doing right 100%.
Jill FratianneCome on over to Bane, 100% or New England.
Robbie WilliamsDefinitely gonna do that for sure, for sure.
Jill FratianneAlthough, don't wait till your 60s, come come anyway, you know.
Robbie WilliamsWell, yeah, I mean, at the moment, I mean, this is really the way we're looking at this. This is our first year, our first proper year as a business. Um, and at the moment, it yeah, it needs Robbie and Tracy in it, you know, and that's that's just because you know, we want to be in it. We it it's it's us, the whole estate is us, you know, with all the attention to detail, all the little touch points. We just had a wedding this weekend just gone. Um, it was a three-day wedding. We love to do those because for us, we want to do 12 to 18 a year max, 18 absolute max, but definitely 12. And we want it to be an experience. We don't want it to be like a one-in, one out. We want someone to you know, people to come for two nights, experience Everard's farm and everything it has to offer. So, yeah, the weekend just gone. Three-day wedding, um, nine hours sleep, 44,000 steps on my watch that I'm actually not wearing today. Uh, and very, very broken by the end of it, but the guests have an amazing and we had an amazing, we loved it. It was so cool to see it all come to life like that. You know, that's just amazing.
Jill FratianneI can relate on so many levels. I think we're gonna have to have like a three-hour session at some point. So something was super interesting, and uh, as a family uh business wedding owner myself, you wouldn't think well, the wedding industry is gonna be disrupted or could use AI, but you are very forward thinking in this. Can you share a little bit about how a wedding venue can leverage AI?
Robbie WilliamsYeah, so um, so obviously coming from a tech background, I mean, we were the people that installed cabling. So we actually built data centers. So um, although on tech it was more we run the cables in to plug into the tech, you know, uh that's what we did. If you've got if you've got a Microsoft account, it probably runs over Tracy Mines cabling somewhere in Europe. Microsoft was our biggest customer at the time, um, who followed me from being an engineer all the way through to our exiting my own business. Um, so yeah, for for wedding and and AI, um, the way we're using AI in our business for wet is for wedding, um, for when we're actually doing the show rounds and doing the proposals. Yeah, yeah. So so we we um so this will come about because obviously I've got into AI a little bit, you know, um, and I've been utilizing Claude and everything in in my business daily, you know, for bits and pieces to get rid of the mundane tasks that we all have, you know, and and it's working so well. And we hosted um, because we did some entrepreneur entrepreneur events at Everard's Farm in our big barn. Um, we did three of them. We didn't charge for them, we just brought people together, told a little bit about our story, brought some guest speakers in, and it was just amazing, you know, to bring people together like that. Uh, one of the people that came there, who came to all three priorities this point, said, I've got these guys who are really, really sexy, really good AI guys, and I'd love to do an AI retreat at Everard's Farm. Could we do that? And I was like, 100%, you can do that for sure. So they did, and we had a three-day event, um, the first one. Um, that their company basically rented our estate. We provide a private chef, did all that. We've got different areas and stuff like that. And literally a day two days before, um, one of the participants dropped out and they said to me, Hey, you know, there's a space free. You know, you you love this. Why don't you would you as well as hosting, would you want to sit in on it? And I was like, 100%, yeah, I'm there for that right now. So I did, and it blew my mind. What I thought was achievable with just you know what I was doing with Claude. Like, it was like with these guys, it was like, wow, okay. So where I'm going with this, and this is the secret, the the secret that we've we've created. Um when someone downloads uh a brochure for our website, we've now automated all that. So they they go onto our website, they put the details in, it comes through our Slack channel automatically. So we straight away see it. Three people, myself, Tracy, and Lucy, our weddings and events manager, um, they see that in our Slack channel straight away. We know what budget that people have got because we have a set budget really to realistic to hit, and then someone will go in Slack, tick that they've taken hold of that. It's also populated a Google Sheet line, our CRM essentially, and then we make contact with people. So, what we do now, and what we're working to now, it's not it's almost there. Um, someone comes in. The first time we see them is they press the intercom on the electric gates. We then, Trace and I will meet and greet them in the car park and let them through, say hi, how you doing, and then walk them through into our main courtyard, and then they everybody goes, Wow, look at this plate, it's amazing. And then what happens is it ends up being a two and a half hour tour. Um, because we talk about the journey and we talk about the story and why Everard's Farm and everything, and people buy in to that whole experience. You're you're talking to Robbie and Tracy, the people who created this place for this specifically, and people love that. So we've got a great hit rate. You know, everybody that's walked through the door so far, um, we're at 95%. We're gonna get a deal. It's that good. So we know. However, what we're doing with AI is we're recording the meetings audibly.
Jill FratianneThis is what I I'm I'm I'm so leaning in on this, right? We continue.
Robbie WilliamsYeah, yeah. So this is something I don't know if anybody else is doing this, but we're okay with it now. Yeah, this could be like top secret I'm giving away, but you should suppose give away ever all your secrets, right? That's what we're told.
Speaker 3That's right, 100%.
Robbie WilliamsSo um, so yeah, we're recording the yeah, the audio of the meetings. Um, essentially like you would do with granola or something like Whisperflow or something like that.
Jill FratianneWith your phone, just like take out the phone.
Robbie WilliamsYeah, yeah, yeah. But we're gonna we've got we got DJI on DJI mics.
Jill FratianneOh the mics, yeah. Sure, yeah.
Robbie WilliamsSo what that does is we tell everybody, you know, we're recording this for our notes, this is for us. You know, it just enables us to get to spend time with you, not be writing loads of stuff down, and it gives us the time you know to actually talk to you and find out what you want. And with what we do with Everard's Farm, yeah, every wedding is bespoke. We don't like, you know, we don't like to say, you're gonna do that, you're gonna go there on that time, you're gonna go to this place. And this we don't like to do that. We like to make it bespoke. It's your wedding, it's your wedding weekend, you know. If you want to have food trucks in the courtyard for one day, if you want to have a pool party the next day, that we'll make that happen, you know. That's the whole point of what we're trying to do. So we record the whole thing, talk about the whole process, then we get to the point where they're happy and we say, okay, what we do is we put a proposal together based on what we discussed today. Um, we wave them off in the car park. They say goodbye. When we do that, we then finish the recording, we send it up to the cloud, it then takes all our documentation in the cloud. So we've got a full-blown proposal already built, um, like a template. Um, we've got everything in there from our tone of voice, our wedding brochure, it's got all that in there. And it takes the recordings and then creates a full proposal based off of everything that was discussed. So even though items are bespoke, we can we have budgetary lines against certain things, but um, most things, even though bespoke, do have a price that's a fixed price. So from that, we then get it's come comes back to us within about five, ten minutes. We agree it, say that's great. And then what happens by the time they get home, they get access to a login portal with their full proposal. So when they get home, they log straight into it and see the proposal based off everything we discussed.
Jill FratianneAnd so you can also take the recording where my brain goes and make documentation on it. You can make an FAQ sheet, right? So you're not. Have you done that? Where so you're not constant, you know?
Robbie WilliamsUh not yet. No, no. I mean, we're we're getting to the point. So we're getting to the point where once that's gone in there, in that's their live portal, everything then sits within that portal. They can place an order, they can put card details in and put their deposit in to secure the date. They can do all that within this portal. Um, yeah, we can we can definitely take it the next level, and then what what happens is is Lucy then takes over. So she's our girl internally, like a wedding coordinator. So she'll make the day happen how you want it. There'll be several meetings, and again, yes, we record all those that all sits in the portal, so it's all there for it's all signed off against for future documentation 100%.
Jill FratianneThat is such a it uh it is such a great idea to record that process because at our family wedding venue, my mom is the one doing the tours, my husband runs the back end, yeah, you know, and uh each tour is at least an hour and a half, if not two hours, all the time. Well, you know that goes for sure. Yeah, yeah. And now people are wanting to do virtual tours, which I've simply made into a slide deck or a PowerPoint. I've found that, and I don't know if you see this, you feel this too. They want a virtual tour, but I feel what they want the most is to talk to Robbie, is to talk to an owner, is to get their questions answered. Yeah, because no matter what, you know, whether or not it's a beautiful picture I can show or an Instagram post or a video, nothing's gonna take the place of being on their site and seeing it.
Speaker 5100%.
Jill FratianneBut I think the essence of the tour is I have a bunch of questions and I need them answered, and I want to talk to Robbie. For sure.
Robbie WilliamsYeah, absolutely. You know, yeah, 100%. And and you know, with the wedding brochure, which only went live. So our new website, we call this our first year, you know. Uh our website went live at Christmas. Um, because the website we had, everybody who came through, because we have sort of six um separate um accommodations that can be rented individually as well during the year. You don't have to come for a wedding or an event. You can rent the parlor or the pig style or the hoover or fika, our scandy lodges, uh, and then use the indoor pool saw a steam room gym and just be, you know, you can do that as well. And everybody who came in the first sort of lead up year to our proper year all said your website just doesn't do justice.
Jill FratianneWasn't helping.
Robbie WilliamsJust yeah, we thought it was good, like we come here, it's like mind-blowingly good. And you can see from the five-star reviews that everybody loves it, and then we get repeat customers back. So we changed our website, put the website, put the wedding brochure as a download, our new wedding brochure, and then said, Right, we're gonna do weddings from now. And we quickly realized from doing the tours that budget we would we were doing two and a half hour tours, given the price a week later, by the time you collate everything and put a proposal back, or at least give them a budgetary price a couple of days later, they didn't have the budget, so we weren't qualifying that. So we were basically they wanted their wedding, but they couldn't hit the budget of what we're selling it for. So we were essentially wasting two and a half hours of my time, two and a half hours of Tracy's time. If Lucy was there, two and a half hours, and then plus so that's why we put a budgetary figure on the download, because then that just eradicates the wasted tours because we just don't have the time.
Jill FratianneI uh we it was a very controversial thing in the beginning of Granite Ridge, uh, the family wedding venue, and we listed pricing publicly. And it cut the tours. No one does it in the wedding industry. We, you know, uh we're learning this.
Robbie WilliamsYeah.
Jill FratianneNo one does it. And we've just found, or I just found, and probably it's because of my tech sales background that I do all day. The buyer wants to know, right? They want to calculate whether or not they even want to go see it, right? And we found that if we didn't disclose that and they showed up and then they heard what it costs, and they were blown, kind of they get very angry.
Speaker 5Yeah.
Jill FratianneAnd then the tours can become a little hostile, right? Yeah. Um so much to go for that. Uh, we're gonna pivot a little bit on you and your journey because following you on Instagram, which I suggest for anyone listening, is so inspiring and fascinating, which is why I wanted to talk. Not, I mean, there are many reasons why I want to talk to you. I could talk to you for days. We probably should, right? Um, but tell me a little bit about your personal health journey.
Robbie WilliamsYeah, yeah. I mean, um, yeah, I've been overweight all my life. Like I was. the heaviest in my class at school. I took the record, you know, and and I've always battled with my weight, you know, my whole life. You know, I was the I was the the kid that was bullied in school because of his weight, you know, and um I was I was the kid that was dreading PE and dreading cross country because I was always going to come last because that I was just that's the way you know my I unfortunately you know I've come from a genetics you know my I'd say sort of genetic but but realistically my my parents didn't really know the best way to feed me. Uh we weren't wealthy. We come from a very humble poor background so so food wise wasn't great. And yeah I got got bullied for the for that um but then learned to deal with how to deal with that you know as as you do um got in with the cool crowd you know hung around with those guys you know become the funny guy become the comedian you know and um and use that as the tool to shy away from the fact that I was the most overweight and yeah struggle with my weight you know I I went through through a lot of successful right created a business and amazing company I had a couple of failures prior to that but I've been over I've been an engineer but overweight always battled with my weight um I would lose a little bit and then put a bit back on never really used the gym it's always like a dietary thing to try and lose weight I could never lose it and I got to a point um where we sold and exited the business and I got to a point after that obviously relaxed a little bit while we're still building and you know the thing we got loaded money and stuff like that and COVID and everything all try to get a bit healthy in COVID right and it all went back on and I and I weighed in uh 50 years old at 150 kilograms. So that's like you know in in British terms we we we're old school we deal in stone so it's like you know what is a weight measurement of stone is that we can carry I don't know but yeah I was almost like 24 stone I think at that point which is you know substantially unhealthy and um and yeah I just decided that I needed to do something about it and and and I tried I lost a bit of weight I I looked online at obviously as we do we consume you know YouTube and stuff like that and I looked at this paleo diet and carnivore diets and I did that with Tracy my wife's not overweight she's she isn't at all but um I did that and had some good results and um got down from 150 to about 120 kilos felt amazing like lost a bit of weight from it didn't do any exercise you know I've never seen a gym you know all my life you know I've got no muscle memory you know it's it's what it is.
Jill FratianneSo uh then went back on holiday um enjoyed myself got back into it and then sorry it's just oh yeah it was just as it was just a little second we can edit that out sorry I've got uploading window okay you'll you've not that sorry no worries I'm just gonna mark it down minute 24 ruined it we're in such a good flow I know why it's just oh no you didn't ruin it at all sometimes even the outdate which even if you have it on do not disturb it will get through the system so uh that's why and she's silly because she knows I'm on a call oh wow yeah tell me when you want to start or you want to kick off again I know that so well Robbie my life is being on Zooms and calls all right I can I I could talk about the last bit where I've lost another bit of weight so the bit it finally kicked in if you want well let's talk about two we can even pivot a little bit um yeah where it finally kicked in but you know what I think is really interesting uh yeah we'll say 25 the reason we met right um let's just get this on script tell me about your now non-negotiables for me um all started about a year and a well 13 months ago so um I joined uh Dan Martel's elite coaching program which is where we met right um and uh yeah I I was uh I was watching one of the coaching um I was watching back actually one of the coaching calls because I couldn't make it and then who pops on there this girl called Jill who runs a wedding business is like okay well so of course you do a search and that's how we've met is through Dan Martel right so um yeah so I I his five daily non-negotiables which we all do as elite is essentially what I've been doing ever since and that is what helped me to get in shape like so so yeah um not giving away too much of the game on what the five daily non-negotiables are um but one of them is your face to camera on social media three times a day on uh you know whether it's Instagram uh Facebook LinkedIn or whatever and I use that face to camera thing for my almost like this is me in the gym every single day on a treadmill every morning so my story every morning when I'm in the gym at 5 a.m or 6 a.m because I've been in the gym every single day since the first of September 2025 I've not missed a day um from someone who never went in the gym till the first of September 2025 and that has helped me as the non-negotiable one of the daily non-negotiables is to put my face on camera so and it's amazing like I just do it but the face to camera it sounds like to you you incorporated two of the habits right you're incorporating your social media yeah accountability and you're incorporating your I'm at the gym every day right even if it's just walking even if it's on the treadmill you know you're getting it in and you know that the concept of I think the biggest one is the and I say it to myself all the time that train the body tame the mind especially when you're an entrepreneur you know life I woke up this morning and you would you would get this Robbie starting getting some really old habits of waking up stressed and you know frustrated angry tired okay like every entrepreneur or sales rep right I I have a I'm in a high high test environment quota based sales role yeah you know you can wake up and you're just like oh my god I am so stressed out name it and I said to myself you're it's not stressful you're stressing yourself out it's not stressful you're built for this you're stressing yourself out yeah it's not stress it's you right high accountability it's you and part of that is daily exercise right doing your non-negotiables on social media for me and it seems like we're might be similar on this it's a reminder to help someone every day yeah right and I say one thing that could help someone else and I'm not gonna be feared what you know fearful of what other people think or if the camera angle is right or you know I'm walking I'm Robbie I'm walking in a treadmill you know this is not like a hype on headphones on this is not like you know the Kardashian glam up moment of your life okay it's a very vulnerable kind of whatever place right and from a lot of times like my makeup's not on but it's it's the accountability to help someone else you're getting in your you're you're you're stacking your habits at that point.
Robbie WilliamsTotally and you know for for me like people I've got millions of followers you know I'm I'm not like Dan Martell with what three million across what you know 10 million whatever it is now. But people I've never met before like never I didn't even know they were following me I've never even communicated I've never done that you know um messaging me and saying oh you know your store I missed your story yesterday but yeah your story my wife and I every morning have a cup of tea in bed and what's the first thing we see is you in the treadmill we think you're on a treadmill I was talking about your little 60 second up in the gym say hey what are you doing what you and and it like it motivates us. We motivates us to lose weight we know we need to get healthy if Robbie can do this and look at the difference in Robbie from where he first started now to now then that's and and and that's amazing to me that's like so cool that yeah I'm I'm inspiring people to get healthy like you know I'm like 62 kilos down now from my heaviest I'm now sitting at 82 kilos to pounds for the silly American yeah 136 pounds.
Jill FratianneSo you're down 136 pounds down 136 pounds.
Robbie WilliamsIt's a human being it is you know it's um I I joke it's it's more than what my daughter weighs like you know it's just crazy. Um but you know and now knowing what I can't you do something for 60 days it becomes a habit. Yeah you know I I can't not go I want to go to the gym like for me like you know on the farm I do 10,000 steps every day without fan anyway so that helps um and the fact I'm in the gym every day no matter what I didn't realize how much it affects your mind. It does if I had known if I'd known right what this does to you mentally then you know I would have sold for not six times eBit from a previous bit my business would have been 10x where it was like when I sold next in that company you know it just gives you so much clarity it's it's insane and I will never go back to that to you know to be the guy that used to get bullied like through to where I am now and and Dan's videos help with that you know his um was it 60 days of visible abs with uh coach Allen like oh I haven't seen that one I have you not seen that I've watched that oh it's not it's been on repeat not so much now but it's been on repeat um for quite a lot that's so impressive watching him do that like it's just that is the that's the motivation and um and for me that's it now that that's my my goal my goal I've got always had a goal of getting to a hundred kilograms in weight I've never been that I did it on the 2nd of January this year I was like right okay what's the next goal so my next goal is visible abs. I want to get visible that's my goal and um and I've looked it I've crunched the numbers UK males in their 50s less than 1% have visible abs. So what's the data on someone who's been overweight all their life to their 50s to then get visible abs so that's my goal that's what I'm trying to do.
Jill FratianneI'm literally taking notes here because it's so funny even though I have all these AI note takers in my life part of my I still have to take the note like I'm writing it down because it's so inspiring.
Robbie WilliamsYeah yeah yeah what's not caught's not taught right well it's it's true and I think I had this conversation the other day about as I grow older and I remember before I went into to Dan's training I I was just had a real moment of hey like something's got to change at this point like we can't die over stress right yeah yeah yeah the other thing is there's so much left I want to do I'm like how do you do both right exactly and that's the thing yeah for me you know get into you know 52 you know my 50s and thinking to myself you know all my man years behind me like you know less in front than I have behind and you know I've got kids you know I I want to be here as long as possible you know that's the whole point that was one of the motivations for me to finally do something about it and and I'm just so pleased I have you know it just changes your whole everything out of it it changes everything.
Jill FratianneYeah it's it's about someone asked me the other day too it's like oh you know Jilly you do so much compared to I think the regular average sales match probably but the people I surround myself do way more make way make way more money give way way more of their time to charity to help others like way way more than what I do and the only way to get there is to be able to expand your capacity and how do you expand it you know going on the darn treadmill every morning at 45 minutes and I'm recovering from knee surgery it's been a really difficult place for me where you know even I I'm like I can't get those reps in on my lays I can't and I'm like well you know what PT every day and it's slow and steady and it's a very difficult place to be for someone who was used to getting in 10, 20,000 steps a day to clear my head like well I can't do that. What can I do? I don't know it's just it's such a and you know I'm sure you can probably relate to this too it has taken me probably and I wouldn't say there yet but maybe I would say four or five years to repair my relationship with food and diet and exercise because I my entire life I would diet and exercise to look good. No matter how many times people told me it's good for your mental health it's gonna help you personally it never mattered I'd overwork out on joints that weren't decided weren't like necessarily made for the exercise that I was doing you know like injured myself yeah um and and also never really truly got the results that I wanted for a sustained period of time because it was never for the right reason. And I think I finally get it. And even with you saying it this is how we expand this.
Robbie WilliamsYeah totally right and I think I think I've inadvertently sort of really helped myself by not over exercising myself until I got to this stage because you know we got friends early 40s they've got back problems and they've been exercising all their life and doing all this yeah Tracy and me you know if you you if you look at us you know we're running around like little kids like we you know touch wood we don't have any issues no you know no health problems now you know my my BMI's which is rubbish but the BMI is down you know my visceral fat's gone from seven to four point five like you know I I we don't smoke we rarely drink you know we're we are like the picture of you know this and we just set ourselves up for the best rest of our lives basically is what we're doing and just incorporate it into everything like why would you not like I I felt amazing and it gives you this confidence I was already confident because I sort of built myself to be confident owner of a business the guy that pays the wages the guys out who's out there in boardrooms you know selling the business and trying to do this I've always been confident but I've always had that thing in the back of my mind you know the overweight guy you know I'm I'm still the guy still wears black because it was slimming you know I've got to get rid of that somehow you know I've through I've thrown my wardrobe all out twice to get to where I've gone from XXL down to medium you know I'm you know it's just um but I still got dark clothes because I just naturally have worn dark clothes because it's slimming right yeah slimming at XXL you know but in your head it's just trying to get around that you know so so yeah so that that's my non-negotiable is is the exercise and doing you know face to camera every day posting every day and then also goals you know putting my goals on the screensaver on my phone that's key for me like you know the five year goal the five year plan look at it every time you unlock it's there like it's a reminder that's where we're heading I use that all the time like totally and note to self I'm gonna do that because I have it stored on a note that I look at but I need to put it on my screensaver. When you unlock your phone what's the first thing goals there it is you know it's like what they used to tell you about putting that big picture of you on the refrigerator right it's the same thing I'm supposed to do but do you know what I mean but no I mean yeah that works I love it well Robbie this has been a pleasure hopefully the first of many of these little snips and conversations and thank you for putting yourself out there on social media this wouldn't happen unless that was going on absolutely opening yourself up to help others by letting people know some pretty you know embarrassing or can feel embarrassing to yourself.
Jill FratianneIt's not embarrassing to other people but moments it's like oh I don't know if I want to share that that's not my best moment in life yeah um so I want to thank you for that and no worries and good luck with everything and we will do this again.
Robbie Williams100% likewise lovely talking to you lovely connecting with you the power of the internet is it's insane.
