Welcome to the Unscripted Symphony, the podcast where courage takes the lead and life's greatest opportunities happen between the notes. I'm Jill Fratianne, and with Each Week, we'll explore the stories, lessons, and bold decisions that remind us to do it scared, trust the process, and create a life that's uniquely your own. Welcome to the Unscripted Symphony. I'm Jill. The Unscripted Symphony is a podcast dedicated to the twists and turns and the crazy ups and downs of life, including all of the unexpected. We're all writing our own symphony, one imperfect decision at a time. We're all playing the music of life. Before I ask my incredible guests to share their stories, I thought it was only fair that I share mine. I had a realization recently that my background of being a professional classic musician has shaped me in ways that I view everything in business and life. There's a flow to being a musician, just like there's a flow to being a mother. There's a flow to being in business and life and sports and golf. And there's a flow in navigating relationships. There's also a flow in managing hard times, good times, and the crazy path it takes to be successful in any profession. I grew up in the Midwest. I went to school for classical music. I play a viola, which is like one big fancy violin. But when I left the music profession, I felt lost. I felt hopeless. And I knew without a doubt, I was supposed to be in business, but I didn't know what that path was supposed to be. Without incredible mentorship and help along the way, people and angels helping me navigate what was one of the most challenging things I've ever had to experience was changing careers. I quickly learned that even being a top sales professional, a top rep, a top musician, a top uh insurance rep, a top real estate owner or a business owner, that nothing mattered more than the relationships along the way. My crazy career being a violist to insurance to tech, and now in tech sales for the last 20 years, while helping my family open a couple businesses, including a wedding venue, a hot sauce business, and investing in real estate. My career looks nothing like a linear line. It's all over the place. And I share this for those that need to take the path on their own drum. Right? We have to go to the beat of our own drum. As I get older, I'm also starting to really understand everything I learned from playing music at such a high level for so many years, and how everything is related. Grit, practice time, listening, emotions, controlling emotions, performing under stress, and how similar all of my classical music training is really to everything I do in life, and how it's a common thread that teaches me everything in the last 20 years plus of my career. And there's always been times that life didn't go according to plan. I've had horrible sales years, I've had horrible years in business. It was hard for me to even get hired out of music school because I had, you know, studied Beethoven and no one thought I could hold my own with an MBA. I knew that classical music was the foundation of me. But what I learned the most was grit, determination, and how to achieve things that I never knew I could. Most of the time when things would get scary, I borrowed the confidence of others helping me along the way. And what I've learned is that life does not reward perfection. As a musician, for many years in practice, in a practice room, I would just sit and practice and practice and practice and try to get these notes perfect. And you drive yourself crazy. But the reality is no one's perfect. Nothing is perfect. And life rewards people who are willing to show up and for those that don't quit. I wanted to do this podcast for a long time. And like most things in life, there's just always something else to do. There isn't time to sit down and record. And, you know, I would talk about it and I didn't know what I was going to talk about. But recently I felt a calling that this was a time to start recording. All of the conversations that I have on a regular basis, I thought, you know, people need to hear this. I have incredible conversations with people from across the globe and different topics. And there's no perfect time to start recording. This video is my first, and let me tell you, it's taken me a lot of time and takes to get the courage to sit down and record this today. But I know that there's no perfect time for any of this. And for me, all the conversations that I'm fortunate enough to have with incredible people that inspire me along the way, this is something I want to share. This is an interview podcast full of success stories that are not rehearsed. These are honest conversations, vulnerable moments, unexpected detours, resilience, faith, parenthood, courage, reinvention, success, failure, and what people wish they'd known sooner, so that these stories can actually help someone else. Life is unscripted. And the unscripted symphony is about the concept that life isn't linear. Mine sure hasn't been. It's been super messy, sometimes beautiful, sometimes chaotic, and sometimes completely off-key. But every challenge, every relationship, every career move, every setback, and every other time that we go to start creating our goals, nothing is played perfectly. So we're going to be talking to entrepreneurs, leaders, creatives, athletes, everyday people with extraordinary stories. Topics include confidence, identity, health, career growth, relationships, failure, mental resilience, leadership, personal growth, taking risks, reinvention. Every episode should leave you with at least one practical takeaway to apply immediately. And then all the conversations I have on a daily basis with people that help me keep going and keep striving and keep looking towards the light. Because we need inspiration at times. And if we can inspire others, then that's what it's all about. If you've been waiting for permission to start something or change something or be something that's different that you're not doing today, you don't have to have the whole symphony written before you play the first note. You just have to begin. If today's episode resonated with you, follow the podcast so you never miss an episode. Leave a review. It helps more people discover the show. Share the episode with someone who's waiting for the right time to chase something. And if you have a story that's still being written, you're exactly in the right place. Thanks for listening to the unscripted symphony. I'll see you next time. Thanks for listening to the unscripted symphony. If today's conversation inspired you to take one courageous step forward, share this episode with someone who needs it. Remember, life isn't about playing every note perfectly, it's about having the courage to keep playing. Until next time, go create your own masterpiece.
